Overview

About the project

Draumskrok is a sci-fi choose-your-own-adventure game. Pilots from the Proxima B star system fly to Earth to learn about the pre-intelligent lifeforms which inhabit the curious planet. Earth is in the neighbouring star system, but Earthlings are quite young in their evolutionary process, unlike the Proximean race. The pilots go fishing in an area known as Norway in the local language and catch an Earthling who is wittier than they thought was earthly possible.

Moodboard

Draumskrok’s visuals take on a darker look, employing the use of cold colours and rugged handwritten title text. The game art draws inspiration from demure artwork, mostly vector illustrations.

Persona

Draumskrok’s main audience is the sci-fi community. Target demographics include those between the age of 14 and 55 who are proficient in English.

Interactivity

Draumskrok is a choose-your-own-adventure game. As users navigate the game, choices they make will influence the fate of the characters.

Most of the navigation will be through clicking buttons on the device screen, but some interactions will require the user to use native tools such as flashlight, volume, or screen brightness to complete Quick Time Events (QTEs) in the game. Types of QTEs will vary depending on the device used.
